This Privacy Policy explains how {{legal entity name}}, trading as A-Z Languages (“we”, “us”), handles your personal data when you use this website and our services. We are the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch UAVG.

What data we collect and why

We only collect what we need to respond to you and provide our services:

• Demo & consultation bookings — your name, email, chosen time and any details you add, processed through our booking provider to schedule and confirm your session.
• Contact & lead forms — for individuals: your learning goal, name and email. For companies: company name, team size, approximate level, goal, timeline, preferred format and an optional budget.
• Level-check— your answers are scored on our server to estimate a CEFR level. If you choose the optional “email me my result” step, we use your email solely to send that result.
• Spam protection — form submissions are validated with Cloudflare Turnstile, which performs a privacy-preserving bot check.

Lawful basis

We process booking and lead data on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). The optional level-check result email is sent on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

We retain lead and enquiry data for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless we are required to keep it longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of carefully chosen processors who act on our instructions:

• Hosting & delivery (our deployment platform);
• Email delivery (transactional email provider — see transfers below);
• Booking calendar (demo / consultation scheduling);
• Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile);
• Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that does not track you across sites or build a profile of you.

We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some processors (for example our email provider) may store limited metadata outside the EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. {{Confirm processor list + safeguards with counsel.}}

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at ask@a-zlanguages.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
